I am way too old to adhere to the thought of "New Year's Resolutions." Namely, 90% of them don't last past Valentines Day. That is because these "resolutions" demand too much of a behavioral change that most people are unable to sustain. The best way to change your behavior (for whatever reason or goal) is best done slowly. Do one minor thing, and once you have performed that change and do it regularly, it's much easier to add more significant change upon that small change.
I have not done anything Battletech-related for over a year. My time has been too full of other demands. So, it is my resolution to spend an hour a week on Battletech. That doesn't sound like much, but I've already been doing it. I have cleared up and reorganized my garage office where I do my painting. This week my goal is to go out and actually repair some broken miniatures and terrain. Once I set that habit, I can start painting.
From painting comes playing. From playing comes dedicating the time to work on the next edition of See Mark Paint. From that will stem work on Roster Builder, adding more features and that promised port to MacOS and Linux.
Do, or do not. There is no try.
